The Clip Extender feature of CopyPaste gives you ten clipboards to work with instead of just one!
The usual keyboard shortcuts for copy, cut or paste, plus the simple addition of any number between 1 and 9 before releasing the command key, lets you work with ten different clipboards!
It's this easy:
1. select an object (picture, text, sound...),
2. hold down the command key,
3. type "C" (or "X" or "V"),
4. type a number between 1 and 9,
5. release the command key.
If you type ‘⌘ C’ without a number then the standard clipboard will be used (clip number "0") and the clip is also recorded by the Clip Recorder. In other words, ‘⌘ C’ is the same as ‘⌘ C 0’.
Forget which clip is in which clipboard? Prefer using the mouse to the keyboard shortcuts? Then simply pull down the "Edit" menu in any application. Notice that now your old "Copy", "Paste" and "Cut" commands each have new submenus numbered from 0 to 9. Each numbered submenu shows the first 30 characters of a text clip, or the words •Picture•, •Sound•, or •Movie•.
